A viewer interpretation of beauty probably possesses few concepts of value: aesthetics and taste and the era beside religion convolution. Tastes probably are the result of education and awareness of cultural values, therefore taste can be cultured. And then taste varies according to class, cultural background, education beside religion dogma. According to Kant (a German philosopher) beauty is objective and universal; thus certain things are beautiful to everyone. The contemporary view of beauty is not based on innate qualities, but rather on cultural specifics and individual interpretations. Aesthetics always shall be an intricate challenge to a photographer. To prick consciences and set in motion the emotions, or to render the world aesthetically agreeable while the content may not be so pleasant. We hardly know the interpretation of the photographer. So here is the Interpretation of my Images.
We usually coined the term “vicious Circle of poverty”. It is not obligatory that one would be trapped in this cruel system of belief. There are always the possibilities that society, and politician mandate the just policy to eradicate the notion.
When I considered the age of my subject surrounded by circle of most of the utensils and more so when she started colleting the leftover for whatever purpose beside the obvious conclusion, I felt that the protruding rods of the under construction building if included, would conclude the fact whatever future holds for the poor she is not going to be the part of it. Like a parable my subject is destined to her condition permanently similar to behind bars.
Youth are vibrant, energetic but obviously wavering as expected and only with age & experiences they may overcome the maze of decisions that has to be made. In my image I have tried to depict one such youth who probably is looking into his inner self, entangled in maze of intriguing web against the backdrop of bold colors weighing in the apparent options and limitation. Here I would like to add that the obstacles are so often our own making and we may live with it all our life.
While line & shapes may convey varied association nothing is absolute. In this image I have tried to include the varied angles we photographers risk to add to the dynamics. Here the apparent risk of my subjects is obvious and I attempted to tilt my frame to a reasonable degree aesthetically and at the same time generate anticipation of a falling man.
Because geometry shapes are everywhere and consequently we learned about them. We practice to juxtapose the elements and give it significance. In this image my eyes caught all possible shapes and most likely the geometry shapes of humans augmented it.
When I clicked this image I felt the ‘awe’ of the man but I could be wrong. Nevertheless I can only justify my circumstances and I tried to scale the creators and the creation, the square and rectangles representing the evident conclusion of strength and opulence. The vast open sky also makes me wonder - what created our creator?
